I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of
your letter No. D/2268/1 of the 17th. instant informing me that rents are received by the Military Authorities in respect of Military Lands in two cases only.
2.
Under the circumstances stated I agree with
Your Excellency that the nominal rents received should be retained by the Milutary Authorities or that the land used by the contract- -or for Military works should not be liable to assessment while being so used.
3.
I request that I may be informed from time to
time of any other lettings of Military Lands which may be affected:
